Body in Context Clinic closing until April 6

In response to the Governor’s press conference last night we have decided to completely suspend all services at our clinic until April 6th after which we will re-evaluate.

This is a tough, but necessary decision.  We are dedicated to doing our part to flatten the curve of the spread of COVID-19. Massage, by its very nature does not allow for appropriate social distancing, no matter what sanitary precautions we have taken. As the governor stated; “any business that cannot do a take-out version of their services should close”.

Please know that our patients and clients are at the heart of every decision we make. While it is a painful decision to stop seeing you all and helping you with hands-on work, we feel strongly that this is the most responsible and ultimately the most compassionate course of action. Please know that we are deeply committed to continuing to serve and support you, especially during this time of uncertainty, stress, and anxiety.

TELE-HEALTH CONSULTS

Although we are not offering in-person visits for the time being we are always available by phone or e-mail and we are in the process of developing a way to offer telehealth video-consultations for a reduced rate. More details to come very soon, but this internet-based consultation would allow us to check-in, answer questions, demo self-care strategies and ways to release your own muscular and fascial tensions and pain. While this is, of course not a full-replacement for hands-on manual therapy and massage, we hope it will be able to at least mitigate the symptoms for which you normally seek treatment with us. 🙂

We deeply appreciate your business and wish you a happy, healthy and resilient weathering of this storm.

All our best,
The Body in Context Team
